Saints QB Drew Brees Restructures Contract, Creates $11M In Cap Space

Miami intends to draft a future franchise quarterback in the 2019 or 2020 National Football League drafts, and hopes Bridgewater could bridge the gap.

The Dolphins would give Bridgewater a chance to start immediately and potentially earn a much more lucrative contract in the near future.

The New Orleans Saints reached an agreement with quarterback Drew Brees to restructure his contract, freeing up salary cap space for the 2019 fiscal year. He looked great with the Jets in preseason a year ago and the Saints were willing to give up a third-round pick for Bridgewater.
