Data strings for Super Nintendo games discovered within the Nintendo Entertainment System app for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers last month have disappeared following its latest update. There aren't now any additional details on what to expect from the Nintendo Direct otherwise, but given that there are plenty of new titles coming to the system on the horizon, there are a lot of games to choose from to expand upon.

The video game, which originally launched on the Wii in September 2009, collects all three titles released in the series so far, consisting of Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

After a solid couple of months of speculation, the next Nintendo Direct is almost here. That doesn't necessarily stop Nintendo from making a surprise 3DS announcement, but that seems unlikely given what the company has already said about the Direct.
