At least 20 Guard personnel killed in Iran bombing

The IRGC personnel were traveling between the cities of Zahedan and Khash, in Sistan and Baluchestan province on Wednesday, when their bus was targeted in a suicide auto bomb attack. It described the passengers as "shift personnel", but didn't provide any details of their rank.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

It also came two days after Iran marked the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and four decades of tense relations with the west.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi condemned the attack and said the victims will soon be avenged.

The attack happened in Iran's port city of Chabahar which has been emerging as economic hub between the regional countries.

Jaish al-Adl, formed in 2012, is a successor to the extremist group Jundallah (Soldiers of God), which has carried out a spate of attacks on Iranian security forces in recent years in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchistan. In 2009, more than 40 people, including six Guard commanders, were killed in a suicide attack by Sunni extremists in Sistan and Baluchistan province. The Revolutionary Guard later reported on its website that 27 were killed and 13 wounded.

And in October, Jaish al-Adl kidnapped at least 10 security personnel, including several Revolutionary Guards, at a border post in Mirjaveh.

"Especially when cohorts of same terrorists cheer it from Warsaw streets & support it with twitter bots?"

The group's Quds Force unit said the United States, its allies and Zionism shared responsibility for the attack, without elaborating on the claim.
