In a tweet, Trump called Warren "Pocahontas" and said he would see her "on the campaign TRAIL".

Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of MA, who recently announced that she is running for president in the 2020 election, suggested that US President Donald Trump might be in jail by then.

"Come on, how many investigations are there now, into him?"

"This tweet was obviously racist, and yet there are actually some conservatives arguing that it wasn't a reference to the Trail of Tears because Trump doesn't know what that is", Meyers said after showing a CNN clip talking about Trump's post.

At a rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Warren explained to the crowd that Trump is a problem, but not the only problem.

Warren's weekend kickoff saw her formally joining a growing field of candidates for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination as the group competes for the opportunity to unseat Trump. She has also said that the Democrats' 2020 presidential campaigns should not focus on unseating Trump.

U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris of California also is expected to make her second campaign appearance in SC this weekend.

Warren elaborated on those comments to reporters at an event in Iowa City, pointing to the ongoing investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election by special counsel Robert Mueller. In total, Trump faces more than a dozen investigations.

"It's to talk about what we understand is broken in this country, talk about what needs to be done to change it and talk about how we're going to do that, because that is not only how we win, it's how we make the change we need to make".

Last year, the government suppressed protests over poor living conditions in over 80 cities and towns. Iranians are facing mounting economic hardships which many blame on the country's clerical leaders.

Warren recently apologized in private to Cherokee Nation leaders and publicly, on Capitol Hill last week, ahead of her presidential campaign kickoff this past Saturday. "The fight to build an America where dreams are possible, an America that works for everyone".

Additionally, Trump has referenced President Andrew Jackson repeatedly and has a portrait of Jackson in the Oval Office.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has disputed this policy in the past.

Trump has often derided the partisan, politically-motivated investigations being led by House Democrats as wasteful and interfering with the administration's ability to govern.
