Google’s Pixel 4 could come with dual-SIM functionality enabled

Google’s Pixel 4 could come with dual-SIM functionality enabled

That's because Google has brought back its Pixel 3 buy-one-get-one-cheaper promotion, offering fans up to 50% on the second Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL purchase.

For those unfamiliar with dual SIM support, it generally works in one of three ways. A recent change in the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) Gerrit system shows that the next Pixel flagship will have a built-in dual-SIM functionality, reports XDA Developers. But later in the year, the company will likely launch the new Pixel 4 line sometime around October.

MP Jody Wilson-Raybould resigns from cabinet amid scandal
They are pushing to have some of Mr Trudeau's top aides and a number of Liberal MPs appear before Parliament's justice committee. Trudeau has denied any wrongdoing and Wilson-Raybould has cited solicitor-client privilege when asked to explain what happened.

The unnamed staffer says the feature the souped-up dual-SIM functionality is in active "dogfooding" on the Pixel 3 right now, which means that Google is already testing the feature. This eSIM isn't widely used, though; Sprint in the U.S. uses it, but few other carriers do.

The second, Dual SIM, Dual Standby (DSDS), allows a phone to receive calls and texts from the secondary SIM as long as the phone isn't actively using the primary SIM for the same objective. This means that the users will be able to receive calls and SMS on both the SIM and both can be active at the same time. You'll have to switch between the two networks to receive calls and messages from the respective network. Most Android phones that support multiple SIM cards, as well as the iPhone XS and XS Max, use DSDS.

Mitch McConnell will make Democratic senators vote on the 'Green New Deal'
He added, "There's no difference of opinion between the parties as I know it when it comes to risky people in this country". The legislation would allot about $1.4 billion for border fencing, far less than the $5.7 billion Trump wanted for a wall.

"The boolean is required to differentiate 2018 Pixel (which has 2 SIM cards, but dual SIM functionality is restricted to dog fooding) from 2019 Pixel (which will have dual SIM functionality)". Just as interesting, however, is the note that the Pixel 3 does have that as well but is limited to internal testing.

The Google Pixel 3 series of smartphone may have been out on the market for less than six months, but that isn't stopping the search engine from marching forward with the development of its successor.
