At the time, the company re-released Vanilla Coke - which originally launched in 2002 and was phased out - among other flavors.

Starting on February 25, Orange Vanilla will be available nationwide in 12-oz. cans and 20-oz. bottles.

The new flavor also will be available exclusively at US Wendy's locations in Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain dispensers through the end of the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament before rolling out nationally across all Freestyle units. They considered a few options, including raspberry, lemon, and ginger, which performs well for the company in Asia. Orange Vanilla, it said, was the clear favorite.
