Pres. Trump: Didn't know about allegations Manafort shared polling

Senior Democratic lawmakers called on Wednesday for further investigation into a revelation that in 2016 Donald Trump's then-presidential election campaign chairman gave polling data to a man us prosecutors have linked to Russian intelligence.

Manafort was among the first Americans charged in Mueller's investigation and has been among the central characters in the case, having led the campaign during the Republican convention and as, U.S intelligence officials say, Russian Federation was working to sway the election in Trump's favor. "Nothing about it", he said in response to a reporter's question.

Asked on Thursday about the allegation against Manafort - which was meant to be hidden from the public within a court filing from the former campaign chief's lawyers - Trump said he "didn't know anything about it".

The court documents also accidentally revealed that Manafort met with Kilimnik to discuss a peace plan with Ukraine.

Saudi asylum seeker flying to Canada, say Thai police
The office of Canada's foreign minister however, said it could not confirm that asylum had been granted. Rahaf Mohammed Al-qunun at the United Nations building in Bangkok , before departing to the airport.

The defense filing was aimed at rebutting allegations that Manafort intentionally lied to Mueller's team after agreeing to plead guilty last September.

Those details, as well as an exchange between Manafort and an unidentified person who was looking for an introduction with Trump, were not publicly known until Tuesday, when Manafort's attorneys put them into a court filing that was supposed to be redacted.

Akhmetov's statement to CNN also said, "As has been repeatedly stated in the media, the work between SCM and Mr. Manafort and his consulting firm was completed in 2005".

Manafort provided the data to Konstantin Kilimnik, who is believed to have ties to Russian intelligence.

Rooney: 'Hard to envision' Brown at Steelers camp
Right now, the Steelers are about $28 million under the cap, but that only accounts for 38 players currently under contract. It might not come as a complete surprise, but the Steelers don't expect Antonio Brown on their roster in 2019.

Russia, which illegally annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, wanted a peace plan so the U.S. would remove the sanctions it imposed because of the invasion. "At the time, the special counsel had been digging into Manafort's finances and political work ahead of his trial".

A statement to CNN on behalf of Akmetov said: "Mr. Akhmetov never requested nor received any polling data or any other information about the 2016 U.S. elections from Paul Manafort or Konstantin Kilimnik".

They say the same about his recollection of sharing polling data with Kilimnik related to the campaign. Manafort denied that he was trying to hide the meetings he had with Kilimnik, who has also been charged in Mueller's wide-ranging investigation, and instead had just forgotten about them until he'd been presented evidence to refresh his memory. Manafort earned $60 million for his work in Ukraine, and was convicted a year ago of financial fraud after hiding the money overseas to avoid paying USA taxes.
