Megyn Kelly officially leaves NBC with reported $30 million payout

Kelly's last appearance on Today was on October 24, when she apologized for her remarks that occurred during a panel discussion about Halloween the day before.

In a statement released by NBC on Saturday, the network said that it had resolved its differences with Kelly and that she was no longer an employee.

Exit discussions have been ongoing since October 25th, with her Today hour being cancelled the following day.

Border wall GoFundMe campaign to refund donations after missing goal
However, the more than 339,000 contributors now have the option to either receive a refund or to forward their donation. Kolfage has set up a fundraising goal of $1 billion to help pay for a physical barrier along the southern border.

Former news host Megyn Kelly has officially severed ties with NBC and salvaged the remaining payments from her astonishing $69 million contract deal, the network reported Friday night.

Kelly's exit from NBC was greeted on social media with a mix of celebration and critical barbs directed at the network. Her coverage of celebrities accused of sexual harassment - particularly her former "Today" co-host Matt Lauer - sparked tensions with NBC News chief Andy Lack, who hired Kelly but was also close friends with Lauer. Then "Megyn Kelly Today" made early headlines when the highly compensated host asked Hollywood icon Jane Fonda about her plastic surgery - which resulted in a public feud.

The episode with Trump accusers had more than 2.9 million viewers, one of her biggest audiences on the network.

Rumor: Nokia 6.2 with a punch-hole display & Snapdragon 632 coming soon
The phone will launch in China first just like its predecessors and is expected to arrive by the end of January or early February. The display will measure 6.22-inch in size, similar to the upcoming Motorola P40 that will also have the punch-hole display.

"But what is racist?" she wondered aloud.

Kelly's tenure at NBC News was rocky from the start, beginning with a short-lived Sunday night newsmagazine program that was rolled out with a widely panned interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "Because truly you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a black person who puts on white face for Halloween. Like back when I was a kid it was okay if you were dressing up as a character". The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep.

It is unclear given these terms why the negotiations took so long to finalize, especially since the terms of Kelly's nondisclosure did not change. Her regret over the comment, however, was apparently not enough to sway NBC executives.
