Timberwolves Fire Coach Tom Thibodeau

The Minnesota Timberwolves could have interest in Hoiberg in either a head coaching or general manager capacity.

While Thibodeau was reportedly not expecting this news at all, it is sad nonetheless as the Timberwolves have had to restart too many times and this adds on as one of those.

Taylor said he was "just looking at the results".

'Good chance' Kitchens will be Browns' head coach
Kitchens was the last candidate to interview for the head coaching vacancy, which came Monday, January 7. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the team will promote offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens to the role.

"We've got so much talent on this team", Saunders said. Team owner Glen Taylor said: "We would like to thank Tom for his efforts and wish him all the best". "If you look at something as a trial, I think that's when you start putting pressure on yourself or other people that just isn't there". "I guess Taylor did not like the direction things were heading and decided to make a change now". ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported it was Wolves chief executive officer Ethan Casson and general manager Scott Layden who delivered the news. Overall with the Timberwolves, he performed quite well finishing 19-21 this season and 97-107 overall.

The Timberwolves will play their first game without Thibodeau tonight at 8 P.M. EST against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Hoiberg was sacked as coach of the Bulls on December 3 following a 5-19 start to the season. It's already been a whirlwind of a season thanks to Sunday's firing of Thibodeau and the Jimmy Butler trade on November 12.

Aymeric Laporte should get a look in at the heart of the defence against Burton Albion . He said: "I think this one [is more difficult] over two legs", Clough said.

Former Chicago Bulls and Iowa State Cyclones head coach Fred Hoiberg told ESPN on Monday that he'd prefer to stay in coaching - at either the college or pro level - rather than return to an National Basketball Association front-office role.

"You really don't get much sleep, getting thrown into this thing", Saunders said Tuesday morning, January 8, at the Timberwolves' shootaround.

Hoiberg has been mentioned as a candidate for UCLA's head coaching vacancy.
