‘Pretty Please!’ Google Assistant Can Now Teach Your Kids Manners

If you celebrated Christmas as a kid, then chances are that a phone call with the big guy was right at the top of your bucket list. As part of the Christmas spirit, Google has rolled out new Google Assistant features, which aside from the addition, encourages us to stay well-mannered during the Christmas season. This is a great way to help get the kids reading, or just do story time with the Google Assistant which will add sound effects to make story time even more realistic. Meanwhile, if you want to "encourage polite manners" at the Christmas dinner table for both children and adults, you can say "please" or "thank you" when using your personal digital assistant, and you'll "often be rewarded with delightful responses". According to Google, owners of smart speakers and smart displays with Google Assistant can use this function. Finally, Google has added a two-way Nest talkback feature for Smart Display devices that let you speak with a visitor before letting them in.

The feature presently works with a built-in notes and to-do list version, though third-party support from Google Keep, Any.do, Bring!, and Todoist is coming soon. You can access the feature when someone rings by tapping the blue "Talk" button. Ask for specific books by name: "Hey Google, tell me "The Snowy Day'" or just say "Hey Google, tell me a story about Christmas" or "Hey Google, tell me a winter story".

Ranveer Singh Deepika Padukone wedding reception
They then arrived back in Mumbai where Ranveer's sister Ritika Bhavani threw a dance party on November 24 for the new couple. Over 800 people are expected to attend the reception including crew members and other people associated with filmmaking.

Most of the features arrive today, but some, like Broadcast replies and certain Read Along titles will take a bit longer.

- Broadcast Replies: When you're out grabbing groceries to prepare for your holiday feast, the Google Assistant can help you easily connect with family at home by using broadcast to check if anything else needs to be picked up. These smart displays make Google Assistant more visual and work really well in the kitchen or the bathroom, allowing you to watch YouTube, and much more. Pretty useful for quick timers and whatnot.
