Tuesday’s First Warning Forecast: Rain today then a big cool down

After a sunny Monday with a high near 49 degrees in Providence, a storm is expected to move into the region late tonight into Tuesday, bringing moderate to heavy rain and potentially damaging winds, the weather service says.

Wednesday Night: A 40 percent chance of rain, mainly before midnight.

A slight chance of rain after noon, mixing with snow after 5 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. Highs will warm into the 50s on Thursday. The clouds and rain will keep us a little more mild overnight, with lows only dropping down into the lower 40's. North wind 10 to 15 miles per hour.
