West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini wants extra fire power up front and worked with the player before at City.

Uefa found Nasri guilty of breaching World Anti-Doping Code and Uefa's anti-doping regulations when he was pictured receiving an intravenous drip at a clinic in Los Angeles.

West Ham United are working on a short-term deal to sign former Arsenal and Manchester City star Samir Nasri on a free transfer.

The Wall Street Journal , which first reported the news Monday night, said an official announcement could come as soon as Tuesday. The second headquarters will reportedly be evenly divided between Long Island City in NY and Crystal City in Arlington County.

Nasri will not be available until 2019, when his 18 month doping ban expires, and many fans are railing at the move, citing the fact that Nasri will need a few months to get up to speed physically and that his best days are behind him.

However, that suspension finishes at the end of December, and the 31-year-old has been free to train with a club since the start of November.

He was playing for Turkish club Antalyaspor at the time his ban was announced, following an investigation by Spanish anti-doping authorities.
