‘Westworld’ Western Town Set Burns Down in Woolsey Fire

Among the properties destroyed by the Woolsey Fire was the Paramount Ranch in Agoura, where hundreds of movies and television shows, including HBO's "Westworld", have been filmed, stretching back to the 1920s.

Partly set in Western-themed park wherein tourists live out their fantasies or darkest desires, Westworld has filmed the Main Street scenes at the historic Western town area at Paramount Ranch.

The National Park Service says it has no details or photos but the structures that formed Old West facades are believed to have burned on Friday. Doctor Strange filmmaker Scott Derrickson has already lost his home in the blaze, Guillermo del Toro's Bleak House is also at risk, and those are just a couple of the people affected by these frightening fires.

On Instagram she urged people to "pray for Calabasas" . "Just landed back home and had 1 hour to pack up & evacuate our home". Everyone in Paradise, a community of 27,000 people about 290 kilometres northeast of San Francisco , was ordered to get out.

Paramount Ranch, which served as a filming location for almost 500 films and television shows over the years, is the latest casualty of the wildfires that are now sweeping across California.

The California fire season normally begins in late spring and lasts through summer.

Paramount Ranch was purchased by Paramount Pictures in 1927 and the old western town was to be used as a "movie ranch".

The fire ruined buildings at Paramount Ranch, one of the locations used during seasons 1 and 2 of Westworld. Westworld isn't now in production, and as the area's been evacuated, we don't know the extent of the damage to any structures remaining there yet.

The town was used in the first and second seasons of HBO's "Westworld". HBO said it did not know the extent of the damage and expressed concern for "all those affected by these terrible fires". Recent productions filmed at Paramount include "The Mentalist", "Weeds", and Hulu's "Quickdraw"(2013-2014).

The Woolsey fire, which started in Simi Valley near the Rocketdyne facility in the Santa Susana Pass, according to ABC 7, is currently affecting Los Angeles and Ventura counties and is now threatening Malibu.

But despite the order, certain places recorded violations where firecrackers were burnt before and after the set time frame. The Supreme Court's restrictions on bursting firecrackers did not seem to have much of an effect on Mumbaikars.

The site has been home to multiple producations since the 1950s, when its Western Town was created for TV shows, such as "The Cisco Kid:".
