Cowboys players and coaches react after Dez Bryant signs with the Saints

Dez Bryant has agreed to a contract for the remainder of the season with the New Orleans Saints. A person familiar with the decision confirmed the move today, speaking to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the roster move has not been announced.

In his eight-year career, all with the Cowboys, Bryant has amassed 7,459 yards on 531 receptions and 73 touchdowns.

A three-time Pro Bowler, Bryant, 30, has been without a club since his release from the Dallas Cowboys in April.

Trump's border deployment could cost between $200M and $300M
In 2010, Obama ordered the deployment of up to 1,200 National Guard to the US-Mexico border as part of Operation Phalanx. Trump has blasted illegal immigration in the past, and called for the importance of border security.

However, this is a new situation where he has extra motivation to prove that on the field that can return to the form that made him one of the best wide receivers in the game where he had a three-year stretch from 2012-14 posting at least 88 catches for 1,200 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.

Bryant was among several receivers to work out for the Saints on Tuesday. He'd previously met with Cleveland and Baltimore.

Bryant's presence in New Orleans figures to boost a passing offense that already ranks as one of the top ten best in the NFL. Although he'll take a backseat to Thomas, there's a major opportunity due to the lack of depth at receiver on the Saints now.

The Saints also have yet to receive consistent production from Cameron Meredith, a former Chicago receiving leader who was acquired in free agency, but who also is trying to come back from major knee surgery that wiped out his 2017 campaign.

For now, we'll have to wait to see how Bryant will be used in the Saints' stacked offense.

The New Orleans Saints, the Eagles' opponent in two weeks, have reportedly added a receiver of their own.

"Dez has been a really good player in this league for a long time and there's certainly a skillset he has that is going to be beneficial", Brees said. "He's a guy that has shown he can go up and get the football".
