Blizzard says its ‘Diablo 4’ announcement wasn’t delayed

Now Kotaku is reporting that this was the original plan but for some reason the Diablo 4 announcement was scrapped only a few weeks ago.

The problem, as many see it, is that while Blizzard did advise fans in October to temper their expectations for Diablo at BlizzCon, the studio has also been teasing "multiple Diablo projects" for months. This reveal was done at BlizzCon where attendees are generally PC gamers and have paid to be there.

A release date for the iOS and Android game is yet to be announced.

Some of Xi's comments appeared to be directed toward the United States and its leader, President Donald Trump. Both are seen as eyeing new ways into China's giant market.

Things got a little heated over in the Diablo camp over the weekend. Those sources also said that Diablo 4 is now in development, although the team isn't "ready to commit to an announcement" as the game has gone through many big changes over the last four years.

"Blizzard announced its first mobile-only title on Friday and to say the reaction was negative would be an understatement", Cowen analyst Doug Creutz wrote on Monday.

The comment came after the same Kotaku published a story that said Blizzard had recorded a Diablo 4 presentation video featuring co-founder Allen Adham, with the goal of showing it at BlizzCon.

Fox News, NBC, CNN pull Trump campaign’s ad amid public outrage
Fox News , NBC and Facebook have pulled a Donald Trump campaign advert that has been widely condemned as racist. Mr Parscale said the media was trying to control what Americans see and think.

Yesterday's report revealed that Blizzard recorded a video in which co-founder Allen Adham talked about a new Diablo game. The fan backlash against the game was strong enough that Activision Blizzard's stock price was impacted. However, according to two anonymous insiders who spoke to Kotaku, Blizzard originally planned on closing with an announcement for Diablo 4, but cut it from the opening ceremony at the eleventh hour. "These are very exciting times-we now have multiple teams working on different Diablo projects and we can't wait to tell you all about them. when the time is right", the company said.

"Diablo fans reacted as though, after a 12-year relationship, Blizzard had taken them out to a candlelit dinner and a long walk upon a moonlit beach, then gifted them a pearl necklace".

Fortunately, game development isn't like dating, because if it were Blizzard might consider calling the whole thing off.

The Senegalese then said that the fans can play their part in the game and that he and teammates are focused on the match. Messi watched from the stands in the return fixture as Rafinha and Jordia Alba scored to give Barcelona a 2-0 victory .

With no word on a fourth proper Diablo entry, Diablo Immortal felt like a betrayal of the franchise to some and a cheap consolation prize to others.
