2 dead after Amazon building collapse in severe weather

A partial collapse of an Amazon warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland, on November 2, killed two people, according to a fire chief quoted by the Baltimore Sun.

A storm rolled through the area bringing down the 50-foot wall and forcing those in the building to evacuate, according to NBC News.

In Baltimore City, the fire department said damage to the Amazon warehouse involved a section of an outer wall measuring about 50 feet by 50 feet that collapsed.

Amazon said the victims were not employees but contracters. The body of the second person was found early Saturday.

Mr Clark says one person was found under debris and taken to a hospital, where they was pronounced dead, the Sun reports.

Officials are unaware of any other injuries but are continuing to assess the scene.
