Ford GT Carbon Series Is The Lightest GT Ever

Ford GT Carbon Series Is The Lightest GT Ever

After a bumpy start for the second-generation Ford GT, production at the Ontario, Canada, plant has finally steadied to the originally planned one-car-a-day rate. The Blue Oval, it seems, has found its supercar-building groove.

Of course, Ford won't say how much someone would pay to equip a GT with the Carbon Series, but with the standard supercar starting at almost half a million bucks before options, we doubt it's a cheap option.

Eagles Acquire WR Golden Tate From Lions
News broke of Tate being traded to the Eagles on Tuesday, and it didn't take him long to react to the news on Twitter . It was later announced that the Lions would be receiving a third-round pick in return.

While the visual upgrades are nice, the real appeal of the Carbon Series is that it's the lightest current GT.

The new limited-edition model drops approximately 18kg with a host of lightweighting, including carbon fibre wheels, a titanium exhaust, titanium wheel nuts and a lightweight polycarbonate rear hatch, with additional venting. Many have called the GT something of a porker with a dry weight of 3,054 pounds, making any weight elimination crucial, but this isn't just any weight the Carbon Series sheds: It's mostly unsprung weight. Thanks to its race-bred pedigree, the GT is already somewhat compromised when it comes to comfort and ergonomics but, being a lightweight special, the Carbon Series must, of course, take things further still.

The issue is that Cena has more power to say no and Bryan has plenty of money saved and does not worry about WWE's politics. Cena's growing profile in the entertainment industry could've played a part in his decision to withdraw over recent events.

"The Ford GT Carbon Series stands out on the road with its striking carbon fiber-rich design and on the track with its athleticism", says Hermann Salenbauch, global director, Ford Performance.

Therefore, though it retains its air conditioning and infotainment systems, the burdensome weight of the cupholders and driver's side storage bin has finally been removed from the 650hp machine, freeing it to at last realise its full potential.

To the shock of many - and people remain rightly dubious about where the money is coming from - there were handouts. The Government has increased its NHS funding by £20.5 billion after inflation by 2023/2024.

It's hard to imagine you'd find the regular Ford GT to lack performance, but for those customers who do want some extra punch, there's now the Carbon Series. Inside the cabin, look for special Carbon Series badges and various red accents. In all, 40 pounds (18 kg) have been dropped from the waist of the auto, making the Carbon Series the lightest vehicle in the GT stables.
