Samsung testing two foldable smartphones, working on special Android OS version

Samsung is in talks with Verizon already to launch a 5G Galaxy S10 in the United States next year, Bloomberg says, seemingly confirming what we heard before about the upcoming flagship series.

Samsung's foldable phone which has been under development for years is codenamed "Winner".

The screen opens with a snap like once-popular flip phones such as Motorola Razr but with a smoother feel. It also weighs over 200g as it features a massive screen. Bloomberg's report says Samsung "may not be able" to launch the foldable phone commercially until the second quarter of 2019; if the report is accurate, that date sounds optimistic to me. Both handsets also share the same Samsung Experience 9 user interface based on Android 8.0 Oreo, adding some nice features to it, such as Microsoft Office apps, Samsung Pay and Samsung Mall.

Samsung, in an attempt to challenge iPhone maker Apple and other Chinese vendors, is preparing at least three types of smartphones.

Avenatti fires back at Republicans over Federal Bureau of Investigation probe
Grassley also cited evidence that Swetnick had made false allegations of sexual harassment at previous companies where she worked. DiGenvoa said Avenatti can not wash his hands of the situation by arguing that he did not know Swetnick's claims were false.

But a folding phone isn't the only device expected to hit the shelves next year.

It will have an OLED with curved sides and rounded corners, virtually no bezels on the top and bottom of the phone, and a fingerprint sensor that will be placed underneath the display, according to Bloomberg. It will have a triple-lens camera system and a front-facing camera hidden behind the screen itself.

The sources also noted that Samsung has finally succeeded in embedding a fingerprint sensor under the Galaxy S10's display, which will be released in three versions, including a cheaper variant to appeal to the masses. Several of the company's various subsidiaries are of course parts suppliers for Apple, and Samsung pulls in billions of dollars each year as a result.

Unlike the other two models, it wouldn't feature a curved screen or an in-display fingerprint sensor. Despite that, a team of engineers will reportedly accompany Samsung's president of mobile DJ Koh to the Samsung Developer Conference in San Francisco, California next month. The Samsung Galaxy J6 which was launched at Rs 13,990 is now selling at Rs 11,490 after the price cut.

It could lead to a handset that can easily transform into a tablet - simply by unfolding it.

Samsung has filed for another patent which shows an interesting design ideology from the Korean giant.

The device is described as something that can be 'folded or unfolded semi automatically'.
