Chelsea v Man United: 3 things we learned

An injury time goal from substitute Ross Barkley earned Chelsea a last-gasp 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United in the English Premier League in a match that ended with United boss Jose Mourinho involved in scuffles.

But with only seconds remaining, Mourinho's relaxed smiles gave way to snarls when the hosts snatched a last-gasp equaliser and he leapt off his seat to confront a Chelsea coach who appeared to antagonise him, leading to an ugly melee.

Maurizio Sarri insists he is not better than Jose Mourinho because the under-fire Manchester United manager has won "everything everywhere" in his career.

Despite accepting the apology, Mourinho did reveal his feelings towards the Chelsea fans following the incident, believing he was not respected by those who once used to sing his name. "I am 100 percent Manchester United tomorrow - no more space for anything other than respect for the stadium and the fans", added Mourinho.

"I am not annoyed with anything".

"Players make mistakes and I prefer to focus on the global performance" said Mourinho when asked about Pogba's role in Chelsea's first goal. "I want to play with short passes, stop".

"But I have made many mistakes in football matches, especially when I was younger, and I will make many more so when he came to apologise I accepted".

United had looked set to claim their first Premier League win at Chelsea since 2012 after Anthony Martial struck twice in the second half following Antonio Rudiger's 21st-minute opener.

With Eden Hazard in sparkling form with seven goals in eight league starts, United are expected to try to stop Chelsea from playing.

"He was very impolite but Sarri took care of the situation".

"We were the best team on the pitch". I can not come here and tell everything, otherwise with my staff I am not credible. "We always tried to play, there was no time-wasting". "So I think we deserve much more than this result but this is what it is".

"I want to play for three points".

Sarri was not prepared to comment on Mourinho's tactics, which are often perceived to be negative.

Jose Mourinho says he was blameless but "the story is over" after a fracas with members of Chelsea's coaching staff at the end of their 2-2 draw.

"In those hard moments, the moments where he was not selected, not playing regularly, he was saying the same all the time: "I want to play for you and I am going to make it and be the player you want me to be'".

To improve the performance, and in the defensive phase, we're giving too many opportunities to the opponents". I want to stay in the team now and keep the shirt so I'll keep going, keep focused and keep concentrating.
