Selena Gomez Hospitalized for Emotional Breakdown

Selena Gomez has reportedly been hospitalised twice in the past two weeks after suffering a reported emotional breakdown.

TMZ reported Thursday that the "Wolves" singer was hospitalized the first time after she broke down in September over an "alarmingly" low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant.

We're told Selena was released days later but had to be re-admitted late last week because her low blood cell count persisted, and it threw Selena into a downward emotional spiral.

TMZ claims Selena tried to leave soon after she was admitted but doctors said she couldn't, which caused a "meltdown" and she "freaked out" and apparently tried to rip the IV lines out of her arm.

We're told Selena is now at an East Coast psychiatric facility and is receiving dialectical behavior therapy - DBT.

Prior to leaving social media, Gomez revealed in a live Instagram session that she had felt consumed by her depression for five years.
