Pep Guardiola is the world’s best manager, says Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp took aim at UEFA's new Nations League competition, labelling it "senseless", after his side headed into the worldwide break with a home draw against Premier League leaders Manchester City on Sunday.

And with Liverpool heading into the global break level with City and Chelsea on 20 points, Klopp took a positive stance.

Despite Manchester City's record-breaking campaign last season which saw them capture the league title with a century of points, Liverpool got the better of City in three out of the four games they played across all competitions.

In addition to the penalty that City were awarded for Virgi van Dijk's foul on Leroy Sane, Guardiola also believed his team should have been given two other spot-kicks.

In a game that promised so much but delivered so little drama until Riyad Mahrez struck that late spot-kick halfway to Pluto, Bernardo was the nearest thing to an outstanding performer, not just because of the way that he played but because of how much rested on him doing it well.

Interpol Chief Being Probed 'On Suspicion Of Violating The Law': China
China , in the midst of the Golden Week holiday, has yet to comment on the 64-year-old security official's disappearance. Mr Hongwei's wife said she received a message from his phone containing an image of a knife before his disappearance.

"Riyad feels deflated, he feels he has let us down", he said.

Klopp and his City counterpart Pep Guardiola were satisfied with their team's displays in a tight, tactical encounter which finished 0-0 at Anfield, but the German was clearly frustrated to now lose his players for global duty.

There was no shortage of goals at Craven Cottage where Arsenal, who lost their opening two league games, provided further proof that they are starting to gel under new manager Unai Emery.

Alexandre Lacazette and substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both scored twice, with Aaron Ramsey also netting just 39 seconds after coming on as a second-half replacement.

"I am in the training sessions, I see him every day, training penalties, gave me a lot of confidence", he said.

Liverpool's front three hasn't yet found the form of February and March yet this season with the wide players, Mohammed Salah in particular, diminished by the more defensive approach being adopted by the full-backs. David Silva had a cross-shot blocked in the 38th minute - a nothing moment but one which saved City from failing to register an attempt in the first half of a Premier League game for the first time since April 2010 against Arsenal.

Last season, the three forwards played 150 games in all competitions scoring a remarkable 91 goals, with Salah getting 44, Firmino 27 and Mane 20.

"Salah remains an excellent player and will score goals in the future".

"So there's nothing better than playing these type of games".

Liverpool manager Klopp said: "In no game we've played so far the was the level like it was today, even when we won 3-0 at home or 4-3 at home".
