Guardiola tells Man City players: Blame me for Liverpool pen

Guardiola tells Man City players: Blame me for Liverpool pen

"We hope that they come back healthy and play these easy competitions - the Premier League, the Champions League and all this".

After starting the season with seven straight victories Liverpool have now failed to win in any of their past four matches as the upcoming global break comes at the right time for Jurgen Klopp's men.

This was not the grand spectacle so many expected.

Fulham had kept Arsenal in check in the first half, letting in one from Lacazette on the half-hour before drawing level through Andre Schurrle just before the break.

That's not how they usually do things, at all, but such are the fine margins this season, it proves how much respect they have for one another.

Liverpool and City canceled each other out as they shared their first 0-0 draw at Anfield since 1986. It led to Anfield being shrouded in a cloak of caution.

Southampton manager Mark Hughes said he believed they paid Chelsea "too much respect" and pointed to a first-half miss by Danny Ings, who blasted over from a couple of metres, as a game-changer.

"But that would mean I forget completely how we played three days before against Chelsea, so we have to stay cool". Then we had our moments, but over the full match time it was never like that. "We compete really, really good". Both back fours bossed their area of the pitch and ensured their teams earned a valuable point, so praise them for it rather than muttering about negativity and "parking the bus".

Special Duke and Duchess of Sussex supplement out now
This included Nadine Duty, Jeremy Board, and Kim Bennett, who said the couple were "very engaging" with her two-year-old daughter Freya Martin.

Opta tell us that Klopp's record of seven wins against Guardiola is unprecedented - no other coach has bested the Catalan schemer more often.

Guardiola had substituted Sergio Agüero, the normal penalty taker, and relayed a message via the left back Benjamin Mendy that Mahrez should step forward and not Jesus.

Liverpool, over the first two months of the season at least, have emerged as the most potent challengers to City's hopes of retaining the Premier League title won in such spectacular fashion last season.

With Chelsea making up ground by winning 3-0 at Southampton, the league's three unbeaten teams go into the worldwide break locked together on 20 points.

"If it's an open game at Anfield, you do not have one chance, not one per cent".

In Brazilians Alisson and Ederson, these clubs have two of the best keepers in the Premier League, and I expect them to have busy afternoons.

Guardiola said he was confident the 27-year-old would deliver after seeing the attacker in action in training.

He called City's all-time record goalscorer a "complete nightmare" to play against and said he'd much rather defend against Salah, as good as he is.

Jose Mourinho is caught up in Manchester United's identity crisis
To some extent, yeah, we are but it was an important result because they had to win after all the reports of Mourinho leaving. Just 6 minutes later, French striker, Anthony Martial , grabbed the equalizer for Man United , with a great curling effort.

'Last season we lost here, and this season we drew, maybe next season we will win'.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has had a good start to the season with Liverpool, but at times his youth has got the better of him.

Guardiola's men were also shackled. Salah remains an excellent player and will score goals in the future.

Pep Guardiola explained that Manchester City successfully shut down Sunday's contest at Liverpool in order to avoid playing a side he considers the best counter-attacking team in the world at their own game. In the last 15 minutes they had two big chances and scored a goal.

The Premier League now takes a two-week break for the global window with City next in action at home to Burnley on October 20th.

Liverpool's defence, built around £67m goalkeeper Alisson and £75m central defender Virgil van Dijk, has had much of its vulnerability removed - but the attacking trident that terrorised teams last season is not now firing on all cylinders.

James Milner's hamstring injury changed the complexion of the game as City took advantage of Naby Keita's arrival to exert their influence in opposition territory, although again without any real danger for their hosts.

That incident brought late drama, but after the thrills of the four meetings last season, this was something of an anti-climax.

India buying Iran oil in defiance of Trump sanctions
President Donald Trump to boost output and ease oil prices, with preserving the balance it's successfully brought to the market. If Saudi Arabia and Russian Federation make up for the losses from Iran after sanctions, prices would remain within a range.

So far this season they have played 24 games in all competitions and scored nine.
