Most US cell phones to receive 'Presidential Alert' text on Wednesday

Everyone around the country will get an alert on their phone at the same time on Wednesday as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) conducts a test of the national Wireless Emergency Alert system.

Cell phones must be turned on and within range of an active cell tower to receive the test message, and some phones may not receive the message at all. The only reason you would not receive it is if your carrier isn't a part of the program.

The show will follow in the game's footsteps, giving viewers the chance to decide how the story will progress. Netflix got on board in 2015, acquiring the rights to past episodes and the rights to release future seasons.

This new presidential alert will be nationwide and only used for advance warning of national crises. "No action is needed".

The message will have a header that says "Presidential Alert" and will read... But that idea was dismissed by federal officials, who say the system has safeguards in place and is meant to notify Americans in hazardous situations including terrorism, war, or natural disasters. In fact, the test on Wednesday will include the well-known script saying "If this had been an actual emergency an official message would have followed the tone alert you heard at the start of this message".
