Duchess Meghan Markle Brings Her Mom Doria Ragland to Cookbook Launch

Based on the way Meghan was looking at Doria before and during the event. we're guessing she'd love to have mama bear close.

Meghan, wearing a black top, pleated black skirt and a bright blue coat, joined the women from the Hubb Community Kitchen and created a meal of coconut chicken curry, aubergine masala, and chapatis from the recipes in the book.

"Together: Out Community Cookbook" showcases over 50 recipes from women whose community was affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.

"I used to call you Meghan (and I still do) but dear Duchess of Sussex your first project "Together" [is] a cookbook bringing women of all cultures together", Williams wrote. And the pair looked as chic as they did happy, with Meghan clad in a royal blue coat by Smythe over a turtleneck bodysuit by TUXE Bodywear and a pleated skirt by her pal Misha Nonoo, while Doria looked elegant as ever in a beige sweater with coordinated pants and a matching scarf draped over her shoulders.

It was Meghan and Doria's first appearance together since the royal wedding.

Meghan says she felt "embraced" by the women from the community kitchen after just moving to London.

Ms Ragland embraced each of the women with a warm hug, telling them: 'It's wonderful.

Ragland was spotted at the airport in Los Angeles a few days ago, and observers assumed she would be in London for Meghan's big event. "I could not be more excited about it and proud of you".

Markle also penned the book's foreword, in which she discussed the importance of the kitchen to the Grenfell community. "Through this charitable endeavour, the proceeds will allow the kitchen to thrive and keep the global spirit of community alive".

And Munira Mahmud, 34, also managed to escape the burning building, leading the rest of her family - including her husband, his father and their two children to safety.
