Chelsea coach Sarri believes Eden Hazard can score 40 goals this season

Hazard's record total in a league season is the 20 goals he scored for Lille in Ligue 1 in 2011/12, but Sarri has faith that the 27-year-old can double that haul this campaign.

Hazard's scintillating hat-trick dominated Chelsea's 4-1 win over Cardiff on Saturday.

But the Blues had to come back from a goal down to win this match as they maintain their ideal start of the season winning their first five games. "He has to improve some things, but he can do it".

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri says working closely with Eden Hazard has made him believe that the Belgian is the best player in Europe. "I want to play as many games as I can and try to be as efficient as I can for the team".

Sarri is just the fourth manager ever to win his first five Premier League games in charge, but last week backed Manchester City and Liverpool to battle for the league title.

"I think when you throw that in the mix, he's one of these that you probably need to keep educating, keep testing him with regards to can you improve him, but also as well make sure you tell him on occasions, we all do as human beings, how well he's doing".

"When Alvaro (Morata) was playing it's completely different, he's a different player than Olivier, but they both have great qualities, so I'm happy to have good strikers in the team".

"We have to improve step by step", said the Italian, who replaced Antonio Conte in the summer.

"I think my opinion in this moment, two teams, Liverpool and Manchester City are better than us". As a teenager, the Belgian had been a regular part of a good team, but upon turning 20 years of age he reached a level and has been on an nearly exclusively upward trajectory ever since.
