Canelo Alvarez defeats Gennady Golovkin by majority decision in epic brawl

Middleweight boxing superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has beaten rival Gennady "GGG" Golovkin in a rematch to win he WBA Super and WBC world titles and hand the Kazakhstan fighter the first and only loss of his professional career.

Fans took to their respected outputs on Saturday night immediately after the Mexican was handed a decision win over "GGG". A draw like many boxing writers had it.

But they embraced at the end of Saturday's fight as the crowed waited in anticipation of the judges' verdict.

The two fighters switched roles, with Triple G trying to counter Alvarez and the Mexican fighter coming forward much of the fight.

Canelo did not win seven rounds.

Mr Orban has also expressed his desire to remain within the EPP, which he said was "deeply divided" on the issue of migration. The vote comes nine months after the European Commission used its power to launch the same process against Poland.

Unfortunately tonight's rematch didn't deliver a decisive victor, but it did give fight fans one of the greatest boxing matches in the history of the sport. "For now I'm going to enjoy it with my family".

The 28-year-old Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 KOs) was ahead by the same score, 87-84, on each scorecard through nine rounds.

"I felt very comfortable", Golovkin said.

"I think he's scared". The pair was originally scheduled to rematch on May 5 until a pair of alleged positive tests for clenbuterol lead to Golden Boy Promotions withdrawing Canelo from the fight.

"If the people want us to do it again let's do it again, " Alvarez said.

The issue came to light last week when a man was taken to hospital with stomach pains after eating the fresh produce bought at a supermarket in Queensland state.

"Canelo is a champion today, he deserves it, he fought a great fight", Sanchez said.

Alvarez seemed to take control of the fight in the middle rounds, using sharp punches to batter Golovkin, who seemed to slow down from his pace earlier in the fight. "I'm satisfied with the victory. No third fight for at least a year guys (long rest)". If Moretti and Weisfeld would've scored the 12th round for Golovkin, all three judges would've had it even when it ended (114-114). "It was a clear victory".

Golovkin offered back huge shots of his own that at times looked to stop the younger man in his tracks, but the champion looked exhausted from the punishment to his midriff, if not a little shopworn and unable to withstand such onslaughts with the resilience he showed in the previous fight.

Golovkin fought Vanes Matirosyan as Alvarez's replacement in May and after stopping him in the second round, "GGG" set his sights on Alvarez once more.
