Seattle Storm fans can celebrate a WNBA title with a new t-shirt

A host of basketball and Seattle sports stars hailed the Storm on Wednesday night following their championship-clinching win over the Washington Mystics in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals.

"Oh yeah, this is for Sue", league and Finals MVP Breanna Stewart said, drenched with celebratory champagne inside the visiting locker room at EagleBank Arena.

The Storm had MVP Breanna Stewart go off for 30 points on 11-for-22 shooting including 4-for-5 from deep, which was complemented by a monster game from Natasha Howard who had 29 points on 11-for-14 shooting and 14 rebounds.

Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi was voted to the All-WNBA First Team for the 10 time, extending her WNBA record for First Team selections.

Elena Delle Donne scored 23 points for the Mystics. Point guard Kristi Toliver was right behind her, adding 22 points.

9/11 anniversary gives perspective to NAFTA impasse, Freeland says
Eares are on the ground for USA and China developments but at the fore again was the NAFTA negotiations. Freeland returned to Washington on Tuesday to continue meeting with her United States counterpart.

"The construction in our arena at Capital One, being on the road most of July, playing at GW for the first round, and playing here at George Mason the second round". She is expected to return to the Mystics in 2019. She also earned her 13 selection to the All-WNBA First Team or Second Team, passing Tamika Catchings and Lisa Leslie (12 each) for the most in league history.

They have a superstar in Delle Donne and ascending players at most positions. She had just accepted the WNBA Finals MVP trophy, and was still in shock from the 98-82 Game 3 win over the Washington Mystics.

Despite losing in their first Finals appearance in the team's 21-year history, Thibault and the Mystics know that the 9,000-plus fans who traveled 20 miles outside of Washington, D.C., and piled into Eagle Bank Arena know their team, for the first time in nearly a decade, has a bright future. "I think that they are really, really good and I love watching them play". A young Seattle team that lost in the first round the past two years and won just 15 games last season, obliterated Washington for its first crown since 2010.

"There's been a huge transformation with the culture of this team", said Delle Donne, who was acquired by Washington before the 2017 season. We feel like we've got a lot of young, great talent, and obviously this isn't how we wanted it to end, but it's an experience that we can grow from. "It was how we countered that when things got close".

ED: "To get her - trust me, I know, I've got you, Panda".

No one mentioned it publicly during the five-month run up to the WNBA Finals because they knew Sue Bird wouldn't approve.

"This is probably going to be one of the defining moments of my career to have played however many years I've been playing, to have won in all these places, but then to do it at the end in such a way that was different from all the others, it's really incredible".

Tierra Ruffin-Pratt sank a three-pointer with 6:49 left to cut Seattle's 16-point lead to five (72-67).
