Foster parents of Jordan Belliveau speak out

However, when questioned, according to police, she admitted hitting her son in the face with the back of her hand "in a moment of frustration" while they were at home on Saturday night.

Stinson initially told police a man named "Antwan" offered her and her son a ride Saturday night.

Instead of seeking medical help for Jordan, Stinson is accused of taking her son and hiding him in a wooded area. She told police a freakish story about getting into a auto with man she didn't know before being knocked unconscious by him.

Stinson said she woke up on Sunday morning in the woods at Largo Central Park and couldn't find her son.

Brett Kavanaugh’s Third Day of Supreme Court Confirmation Hearings
The most likely outcome of this week's hearings is a vote along party lines to send Kavanaugh's nomination to the full Senate. Democrats are expected to question Kavanaugh on his views on previous Supreme Court decisions, including Roe v.

While blame is being cast on the Department of Children and Family Services, Largo police released a statement, saying DCF stated it was not one of their workers who checked on Jordan and his mom before he died.

A memorial for Jordan Belliveau, a 2-year-old boy who was found dead in the woods on Tuesday, sits at Lake Avenue NE and McMullen Road, Sept. 5, 2018, in Largo, Fla.

Her story prompted a statewide Amber Alert.

Details about where Jordan's body was found were not immediately available. They said he may have spoken with Jordan's mother just after midnight Sunday, but it's unclear whether police are still searching for that man.

Tropical depression may form in the Gulf of Mexico this week
Positioned 145 miles east-southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River, Gordon is moving toward the northwest at 15 mph. The storm's maximum sustained winds of 45 mph (75 kph) were expected to strengthen in the next 48 hours.

The man, who gave Jordan and his mother a ride, is about 25 years old with brown hair, brown eyes and who may be wearing a white tank top and basketball shorts with a logo on the front. A press conference is planned for 8:45 p.m. EST. She said there was an altercation and she was knocked out.

"My brother, I can't speak how my brother feels, because I never lost a child", said Stephon Davis, the boy's uncle. Per Spectrum News, Jordan was put in foster care at 3 months old but returned to Stinson in May.

Stinson was previously arrested in April 2017 on a domestic battery charge, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, but court records show no criminal charges were filed. According to the report, Stinson "did not want the child yet", which caused an argument that became physical when the father punched Stinson.

The Department of Children and Families said that it couldn't release information on the case.
