Two emergency warnings for NSW bushfires

No properties have yet been lost but strong winds and incredibly dry conditions are exacerbating the situation and hampering fire crews.

The Ulladulla bushfire is threatening homes and some people have been told it's "too late to leave" by the Fire Service.

The Mount Kingiman fire is uncontrolled west of Burrill Lake and moving southeast.

Two homes have been destroyed and another damaged as dozens of out-of-control winter bushfires continue to burn across NSW.

The Ulladulla Civic Centre has been established as an evacuation centre.

The Princes Highway is now closed in both directions due to heavy smoke in the area, as the blaze moves east towards Bomaderry.

RFS spokesman, Marty Webster said firefighters had conducted a partial assessment of properties and expected to complete their assessment of potential damage in the coming days.

The RFS said emergency phone messages have been sent to residents in the area who are advised to take shelter as the fire front approaches.
