Peter Strzok Fired From FBI; Donald Trump Calls For New Clinton Investigation

During the election, Mr Strzok exchanged text messages that disparaged Mr Trump with Federal Bureau of Investigation lawyer Lisa Page, with whom he was having an affair.

The FBI fired Agent Peter Strzok - at one time one of the leaders of the bureau's investigation into Russian election meddling and possible collusion with Donald Trump's campaign - for writing critical text messages about the future president, the Washington Post reported Monday.

The FBI did not have an immediate comment.

As ESPN's Rob Dawson says: " Mourinho and Pogba's frosty relationship is a puzzle Manchester United must solve". Leicester manager Claude Puel felt his side deserved a draw.

Strzok's lawyer charged the decision also contradicts FBI Director Christopher Wray's "testimony to Congress and his assurances that the FBI meant to follow its regular process in this and all personnel matters". The two were having an extramarital affair and used their work devices to hide that from their spouses, they've acknowledged.

"Just fired Agent Strzok, formerly of the FBI, was in charge of the Crooked Hillary Clinton sham investigation".

Along with sending the text messages, Strzok was accused of sending a highly sensitive search warrant to his personal email account. Democrats accused Republicans of trying to divert attention from Mueller's investigation and Trump's ties to Russian Federation by excessively focusing on Strzok.

The FBI agent Strzok was texting, Lisa Page, has also since left the FBI on her own accord. In March, Andrew McCabe, the former deputy director, was sacked after the inspector general repeatedly faulted him for misleading investigators. Trump tweeted. "The list of bad players in the FBI & DOJ gets longer & longer".

Trump took to Twitter to gloat about the agent's termination - and once again slam the bureau.

Additionally, in his report the inspector general noted Strzok showed a "willingness" to hamper candidate Trump's election chances.

Strzok also faced off against Republicans during a 10-hour congressional hearing regarding the text messages in June.

His texts were criticized by the Justice Department's inspector general in a recent report that examined the FBI's handling of the Clinton email probe.

Pep Guardiola - Manchester City desire vs. Arsenal 'same as last season'
If a new head coach and handful of signings were meant to shore up Arsenal's wobbly rearguard, this match offered scant evidence. And that, Cech believes, should give Arsenal confidence as they prepare to travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The firing was politically motivated, McCabe has said, as an effort to discredit him as a witness in the special counsel investigation.
