Buttler looks to follow Kohli example

The first Test between India and England that will be played will be their 1000th Test match.

England, following a 1-1 drawn series with Pakistan, are sticking with Keaton Jennings in the hope of at last finding a reliable opening partner for Cook, while India s Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara have both been struggling for runs. While most of the talk is about Kohli's past record as a batsman in England and how well will he be able to tackle the English seamers, there is another milestone that beckons Kohli as captain.

Meanwhile Buttler added a Test series with India was nearly as important to England as the Ashes.

The 2015 Ashes Test, in which Stuart Broad took 8-15 in 9.3 overs to skittle Australia for 60, came second in our poll with 18.5 per cent, with the Headingley Ashes fixture of 1981, in which the heroics of Sir Ian Botham and Bob Willis saw England win after following on, third with 15 per cent. Special counsel Mueller wants to ask Trump about obstruction of justice
On the same day, though, Giuliani also suggested the investigation shut just be shuttered and Mueller should "put up or shut up". In June, Trump's 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale called for Sessions to be fired and "end the Mueller investigation".

The Indian skipper has insisted he is not concerned about his personal performances against England, hitting out at critics for putting the spotlight on his 2014 failure.

To commemorate the occasion, former New Zealand captain and match referee Jeff Crowe, on behalf of the ICC, will present a silver plaque to ECB Chairman Colin Graves before the start of the Test. Anderson said the Indian captain was "telling lies" by saying his own runs do not matter.

If India wins 5-0, then they will rise to 129 points and England will drop to sixth place on 94 points. Kohli refused to say whether his team were the underdogs or the favourites.

Kohli has hit 301 runs in six limited-overs matches on the current tour.

The International Cricket Council congratulated England ahead of the historic game. It doesn't work like that.

After the Hungarian Grand Prix , Hamilton is leading by 213 points, followed by Vettel (189 points) and Raikonnnen (146 points). Two weeks ago, he and his Mercedes team were trailing Vettel and Ferrari in the drivers' and constructors' championships.

Smith selected Buttler, England's white-ball wicket-keeper, in the unusual role of a specialist number seven Test batsman and was rewarded with back-to-back fifties.

"That's why they're the number one side in the world".

"We are not anxious at all, because both are really quality batsmen", said India s Ajinkya Rahane of his top-order colleagues.

"Virat is singularly focused on this England series". He would know himself that he needs to score here.

"I am predicting Kohli to score whatever the conditions but I am predicting Kohli to score multiple hundreds if the ball doesn't swing".
