Alex Iwobi signs new long-term deal

Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi has signed a new "long-term" deal with the club, reportedly until 2023.

That would not make N'Zonzi one of the wealthiest players in English football but would likely represent a hefty increase on the paypacket he now receives at Sevilla. Arsenal has added goalkeeper Bernd Leno, defenders Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos, and midfielders Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi. This is one question for the club and for the player.

"Aubameyang's very, very good".

He said: "This season I'm hoping to play for the Under-23s".

Alvaro Morata who is yet to get off the mark in pre-season for the Blues missed a chance to score from the penalty spot in the 14th minute after Callum Hudson Odoi was fouled by Hector Bellerin in the box.

"It's fantastic - a player who was world champion and has had a great career".

"I'm very pleased Alex has signed a new contract with us", the manager said. "So his options are not purely limited to the Premier League". But sticking the knife into Arsenal's dying squad is something I'd love to see us do.

"To get an extended contract is an awesome feeling and I hope I'm doing the Arsenal family proud as well as my family".

"It's not come to that with Ramsey yet".

After watching Alexis Sanchez and Jack Wilshere run down their contract and ultimately leave the club, Gooners are concerned Ramsey will do the same.

While the expected price for Ramsey is fairly reasonable, it would make no sense for Liverpool to chase him, considering that Naby Keita and Fabinho have only just arrived to accompany Jordan Henderson as the top midfield candidates. Two of those, Everton and Arsenal, have been linked for a number of months now.
