Urban Meyer reportedly knew about abusive OSU assistant

The university released a statement saying it was focused on supporting players and "getting to the truth as expeditiously as possible".

The announcement comes two days before the football team is set to hold its first day of fall training camp on Friday.

At issue is whether Urban Meyer knew of the incident before last week-and the extent of what he knew, if he did-and whether he failed to report an allegation that he would be required by Ohio State to report. "So Shelley and I actually both got involved with the relationship with that family, and provided counseling, and wanted to help them moving forward".

Brett McMurphy reported Wednesday - through a string of interviews and text messages he uncovered - that Meyer did know about the 2015 incident in which Smith was arrested for felonious assault and domestic violence of his then-wife.

Mars Close Approach: How to view the celestial event
Though Mars is closest to the Earth in 15 years is a phenomenon for our generation, it is nowhere as big a deal as it was in 2003. On this night, Mars came strikingly close to Earth on its orbit, approaching within 35.8 million miles of our home planet .

Though there is not an account of direct firsthand communication to Urban Meyer, McMurphy has several text messages between Courtney Smith and the coaches' wives that point to communication with Meyer.

Urban Meyer's new contract includes prospect of termination for cause in event of finding that he failed to report sexual misconduct, including harassment and stalking, while employed "at Ohio State or any other institution of higher learning". Earlier this year, Meyer agreed to a contract extension that would require Ohio State to pay him $38.1 million if he is fired without cause. I know nothing about it. If Ohio State can determine that Meyer, the third-winningest coach in college football, knew that Smith had been physically abusive and still kept him on his staff in Columbus, it's not a stretch to think he's coached his last game there.

The 2009 and 2015 accusations came to light last month, when Zach Smith was charged with criminal trespassing after dropping their children off at Courtney Smith's home, which led to his firing as wide receivers coach on July 23.

"Shelley said she was going to have to tell Urban".

Ellis, who told him not to tell jurors that "the evidence will show" that the allegations against Manafort are true. A total of 16 jurors, 12 regular and four alternates, will be chosen after being screened for potential bias.

Messages left with Ohio State on Wednesday were not returned.

A change in the police report for the domestic violence incident on October 26, 2015.

Urban said if he had, Zach would've been fired. No charges were filed in that incident.

We also must believe that if "every single one" of the other coaches' wives knew about the alleged abuse, that some of them at least must have shared that knowledge with their husbands, who work in the same offices as Meyer.

Zimbabwe's ruling party ZANU-PF wins parliamentary election
The clashes followed an announcement that the ZANU PF had obtained the critical two-thirds majority in parliament. The EU EOM also said that Zec should ensure that the votes can be traced back to the polling station.

Perhaps the most damning piece of information from McMurphy's report is an exchange between Courtney and Lindsey Voltolini in the weeks following the 2015 incident.
