National Football League tells Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to stop talking about anthem policy

Regardless of where you stand on the anthem controversy (and I respect the passion on both sides), it's hard to justify the Jones boys violating an National Football League gag order and going rogue with their own policy while other owners and the union quietly try to work a compromise. Hansen defended Colin Kaepernick and the national anthem protests a year ago after Donald Trump called for players who kneel to be fired, saying that "they, and all of us, should be protesting how black Americans are treated in this country".

If Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made one thing clear this offseason, it's that his team is going to respect the national anthem.

"I completely accept that, " Jones said.

"The owner of the Dallas Cowboys, with the old plantation mentality", Sherman said.

WhatsApp starts charging business users
Facebook paid $19bn to buy WhatsApp in 2014 and there has always been speculation about how Facebook meant to make money from it. In return, the businesses will pay a fee for a confirmed delivery.

It's rare for Jones, who probably speaks to the media more than all other National Football League owners combined, to turn down the opportunity to talk about any subject.

Dallas sports anchor Mike Doocy normally has an annual interview with Jones at Cowboys training camp, but just before he was about to do so on Sunday night, Cowboys officials told him that Jones would not answer questions about the national anthem.

"I think it's always better for the league to have a common voice", Lysko said. It shows that we have unity.

Many tweeters on the left, including New York Daily News columnist Carron Phillips, called out the Cowboys quarterback for being an Uncle Tom.

Quiet Skies: The TSA’s Problematic & Potentially Illegal Surveillance Program
The " Quiet Skies " programme reportedly uses an unknown algorithm to flag flyers without any criminal record for surveillance on domestic flights.

The NFL started requiring players to be on the field for the anthem in 2009, the year it signed a marketing deal with the military. "A player can use illegal drugs, time and time again, and still play, but you take a knee to protest the racial injustice in America, and now you've crossed a line that he will not allow". We're going to stand as one.

"This is a case where we need to in my mind check that and be real clear that it is, the priority is about the flag, and be real clear about that", Jones said. "And when he was told about the mistake he was making, he still left his cap on", Hansen said.

"They're having the conversations; that's awesome", said Sherman, who is a member of the NFLPA's executive committee.

Even as the Bryant theater played out, Jerry Jones battled him for headlines.
