Hannity Fires Back at Jim Acosta: ‘People See Through Your Lying Bullsh

Acosta checked in with CNN host Wolf Blitzer to report on the environment of the Trump supporters at the upcoming rally in Tampa Bay, Florida on Tuesday evening.

"We fully support a free press, but there also comes a high level of responsibility with that".

"I'm actually going to give your network some advice, if you have an open mind and an open heart", Hannity said during the opening monologue of his show on Tuesday after the rally, addressing Acosta.

He wrote that he was anxious the "hostility" spurred by Trump could eventually result in someone getting hurt.

Responding to Acosta's online video, Anthony Scaramucci, former White House Communications Director, condemned the criticism the journalist faced. "The press is not the enemy".

And it's not the first time Trump's supporters have slammed the correspondent.

"If you truly believe there is a Deep State plot to unseat the president you love so dearly, and in whom you have invested so much of yourself, and that The Liberal Media is complicit in this effort, how long until you take drastic action?" wrote Holmes.

Footage of rallygoers hurling verbal attacks, including angry chants of "CNN sucks", at Acosta as he tried to report from the event went viral ― especially after the president and his son Eric retweeted a video with a message that seemed to endorse the vicious behavior. "And increasingly, Trump supporters are demonstrating just how aligned they are with his view that the political press is the enemy of the people".
