Roseanne Barr rues her racist tweet; says it cost her everything

She said the tweet referencing former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett - "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby = vj" - was a bid to seek accountability for the 2015 global agreement limiting Iran's nuclear program.

Roseanne Barr sat for her first TV interview since she was sacked and had her ABC sitcom "Roseanne" canceled over a racist tweet.

Barr then added: "Plus, I'd tell her she's got to get a new haircut, seriously". "And that was what was in my head".

"But no, I did not know she (Jarrett) was black", she said.

During her conversation with Sean Hannity, the comedienne reasserted her view that her tweet was about politics, not race. On Thursday, she again offered the excuse that she had taken the drug Ambien when she posted the offensive tweet, which she called "ill worded". The comedian eventually did, saying that she was sorry for the poorly worded tweet. "Don't assume you know what I meant, because I think you don't know what I meant, and I would like to make it clearer to you what I did mean". I never meant that. I made a mistake.

Trump's planned White House meeting with Putin pushed back to next year
Putin responds that he did want Trump to win the election because "he talked about bringing the U.S. -Russia relationship back to normal".

"That was a political tweet", Barr explained. "But I'm not going to let them tell me what I meant".

Despite the furore and the cancellation of her show by ABC, Barr said her contract protected her from getting in trouble for her tweets.

She shared: "I'm not a racist and the people who voted for Trump, they're not racist either, and Trump isn't a racist, sorry".

Barr said Thursday she no longer believes her father sexually abused her, but believes she was emotionally abused by both her parents.

"I don't want to just tell my story - I want to share the experiences, life lessons, and values that have shaped who I am and my ideas for the future", Jarrett said in a statement. She later added that the racism accusations particularly made her worry about some of her friends and relatives: "The thing that broke my heart the most - I have to say this - is that I have African-American children in my family and in my loved circle, and Asians too, and Hispanic people and ..." During the live interview, he brought up both her issues with depression and multiple-personality disorder and her previous claims she was sexually abused by her father.

Under fire in Congress, Pompeo defends Trump's Putin summit
He said Trump made clear to Putin that the so-called Minsk Accords to settle the Ukraine conflict is the right path forward. Congress tends to tread lightly with Central Intelligence Agency directors, and Mike Pompeo was no exception. 'Yes I did.

'I was so sad that people thought [the tweet] was racist. And in the eyes of most Hannity viewers, Barr is probably forgiven tonight-if not applauded.

Roseanne Barr has just given a masterclass on how not to apologize for a massive public flameout.

"Now instead what happened, about 40 minutes after that, my show was canceled before even one advertiser pulled out, and I was labeled a racist", she said.

At one point in the interview Boteach asks: 'But you recognize you wronged her?'
