Elon Musk accuses Thai cave rescue diver of being a pedophile

Mr Unsworth said on Monday he had not reviewed the tweets in full and had only heard about them.

Mr Unsworth, who provided mapping knowledge of the cave to rescuers, said Mr Musk's prototype would have had "absolutely no chance of working".

What just happened? It's fair to say that Elon Musk does not take criticism well. "[Musk] had no conception of what the cave passage was like". "It wouldn't have made the first 50 meters into the cave", he said.

"He's just a PR stunt merchant - that's all he is", Unsworth told AFP, adding that his feud with Musk is not finished.

Elon Musk lashed out at Thai football team rescue diver Vern Unsworth on Twitter. Musk personally arrived at the scene of the rescue operation, but nearly immediately he was asked to leave the scene. "Well, by definition, you're rescuing 12 young boys, by definition that puts everybody in the same context".

North Cornwall MP Scott Mann resigns over Theresa May's Chequers Brexit plan
Arch-Remainer Justine Greening - an ex-Cabinet minister - gives May a further headache by calling for a second Brexit referendum. Jubilant Brexiteers believe Brussels will now reject the so-called Chequers plan, forcing May to think again.

"We will make [a video] of the mini-sub going all the way to Cave 5 no problemo".

He added that Mr Musk was asked to leave "very quickly" when he arrived.

Many thought Musk's involvement in the Thailand disaster may have been part of a larger act of self-promotion to regain some credibility after a spate of PR nightmares, including Musk harassing former staff via email and poor performances from Tesla.

In the same tweet, Musk also responded to Unsworth's claim that the Tesla CEO was asked to leave the cave and his help was not appreciated by officials leading the rescue mission.

Musk even tweeted out a screenshot of what he said was his email exchange with Richard Stanton, a British diver who helped lead the rescue operation.

Target is unleashing its own super-sale to battle Prime Day
These Amazon Prime Day 2018 game deals run until midnight Tuesday July 17 and are only available to Amazon Prime subscribers . The Verdi union also said workers in Spain were staging a three-day strike, while Polish workers were staging a work to rule.

Despite the report being publicly available, Musk tweeted that the idea he is a top GOP donor is "categorically false", as well as tweeting that he is "not a conservative". After a joint worldwide operation commenced on July 5, all 13 were brought out to safety. The team built a mini submarine dubbed "Wild Boar" (after the name of the team), which they believed could transport the boys to safety.

Musk had gone to Thailand during rescue operations with his mini-submarine, and left it at the Tham Luang cave complex in case the rescue team needed it.

The tweets were later deleted but screenshots have been shared widely online by technology news site Gizmodo.

Jason Mallinson said, "I've never done anything as risky as that and I don't think I ever will again, but it was the only option we had and we took it".

The 12 rescued boys and their 25-year-old coach are still recovering and gaining strength in hospital.

Trump strikes back at critics of Helsinki summit with Putin
Responding to reporters questions on the Russian Federation investigation, President Donald Trump said there was "no collusion". As Trump was declaring his "full faith and support" for U.S. intelligence agencies, the lights in the Cabinet Room went dark.

Thai authorities said the sub was "not practical", a point Unsworth was happy to expand on.
