Queen marks 100 years of Britain's RAF ahead of flypast

An estimated 65,000 to 70,000 people gathered on The Mall in central London to watch the parade and flypast, with the Queen and other members of the Royal Family spectating from the palace balcony.

She also presented a new flag to the RAF Regiment shortly before giving her speech.

Later on Tuesday, Charles, his wife Camilla, William, and brother Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, will host a reception at Buckingham Palace for RAF servicemen and women.

I used to love London as a city. "I'd like to see them be able to work it out so it could go quickly", he said. He thought she was great on North Atlantic Treaty Organisation today and is a really terrific person.

Attending the service included: Prince Charles, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Edward, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Prince Andrew, The Princess Royal, Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.

The 11-week-old prince, who is fifth in line to the throne, will be baptised at the Chapel Royal at St James' Palace in London on Monday.

The flypast drew thousands of spectators, passing over the site of the 2012 Olympic Games, and the streets of Central London before reaching The Mall, the ceremonial avenue leading up to Buckingham Palace.

The day began with a service at Westminster Abbey, attended by the Queen, before a flypast in front of Buckingham Palace led by helicopters from Shawbury and a parade of more than 1,000 personnel in which Cosford personnel were playing a major role.

Meghan wore a long-sleeved, full-skirted black Dior dress with a bateau neckline, topped off with a Stephen Jones fascinator. Nicholas van Cutsem, Guy Pelly, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, Laura Meade, Robert Carter and Lucy Middleton were named godparents for Louis. The Queen's involvement in the celebrations meant much to the RAF representatives taking part; Her Majesty's father was one of the air force's founder members and she has known all 31 of the officers who have served as chief of the air staff.

First on the agenda was a service in Westminster Abbey celebrating 100 years of the RAF, which came into formal existence on April 1, 1918, just a few months before the end of World War I. In addition to today's event, she will also meet with President Trump at Windsor Castle on Friday.

Within weeks, he started to oversee the project implementation himself, leading the Nord Stream AG's shareholder committee. There is no certainty it would attract support in Washington from leading Republicans.

The celebrations culminated in a sensational flypast of 100 aircraft, including 22 Typhoon jets in an iconic "100" formation.
