May hopes Trump visit will boost US-UK links

Mr. Trump arrived from Brussels on Thursday at Stansted Airport, north of London, before boarding his Marine One helicopter for the short flight to Winfield House, the U.S. Ambassador's residence in the center of the British capital.

The blimp will then be used at a protest planned in Scotland, his mother's homeland, when Trump goes there for the weekend.

The demonstrators plan to loft a large blimp-like balloon over the skies beside Westminster Palace, depicting a bronzed "Trump Baby" in diapers, clutching a mobile phone.

On the USA embassy: Trump cancelled his first planned visit earlier this year, saying the embassy's move from Grosvenor Square in Mayfair district to an "off location" at Nine Elms, south of the Thames, was a "bad deal".

The events include an anti-Trump welly toss, a Trump's head coconut shy and satirical mini golf.

USA ambassador to the UK, Woody Johnson, has said a deal will be "a major priority" for Trump, calling Brexit "a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change direction".
