Improvment in condition of Charlie Rowley, boyfriend of novichok victim Dawn Sturgess

Charlie's partner, 44-year-old Dawn Sturgess, died on Sunday evening after also being exposed to novichok.

Sturgess died Sunday, leaving behind her three children, police said.

"While this is welcome news, clearly we are not out of the woods yet", the statement said, according to the BBC.

British police said that novichok, the powerful nerve agent that killed one person and left another critically ill in southwestern England, could be active for up to 50 years if it remains in a container. Moscow has strongly denied any responsibility and hit back by expelling a spate of western diplomats.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said she was appalled and shocked by Sturgess's death and the interior minister, Sajid Javid, said the "desperately sad news only strengthens our resolve to find out exactly what has happened".

In fact, Trump's pick was said to have the " inside track " from the get-go, thanks to his D.C. connections. Senate Republicans hold only a 51-49 majority, leaving them hardly any margin if Democrats hold the line.

Police are working to establish whether the Britons were exposed to the same poison used in the attack on the Skripals. Sergei and Yulia Skripal became seriously ill, but have both recovered.
