America's ambassador in London has denied that Donald Trump's schedule for next week's trip to the United Kingdom was created to keep the USA president away from protesters.

London mayor Sadiq Khan has also given the okay for a giant orange blimp to fly over the streets of London.

"They will be discussing that issue - the relationship with Russian Federation - at the meeting at Chequers", Mr. Johnson said, referring to the prime minister's ceremonial country estate in Ellesborough, about 45 miles northwest of London.

"For a United States president who retweets far-right Britain First propaganda, insults Londoners at times of tragedy, and refuses to condemn white supremacist marches at home, this insult is well deserved" said Labour MP David Lammy.

The Jameson in Hammersmith, west London will temporarily re-name their pub "The Trump Arms" to welcome President Trump to the UK.

Asked whether Chequers had been chosen to avoid a major demonstration planned in London on the same day, May s spokeswoman said this was not the case and the venue was better for "more informal meetings".

"The president is not avoiding anything. the president is merely trying to get as impactful a trip as he can get in a 24-hour period", he said.

For the only time during his visit, Trump will then travel into London when he will stay overnight at the home of the USA ambassador in the centre of the city.

Next Friday evening, Mr. Trump will depart for Scotland, where Mr. Johnson said he would spend the weekend preparing for the meeting with Mr. Putin.

Others are holding marches through the city and in Scotland - where President Trump owns golf courses.

The former ambassador told Tom Swarbrick that the visit takes an agenda "designed to appeal to what they think Donald Trump will like". Also part of this global trip is the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels, a weekend in Scotland and a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In a crowdfunding request, they wrote that they want the balloon to shadow the president, "haunting the skies - and hopefully the dreams - of the stain on the office of President that is Donald Trump Senior".
