Donald trump praised himself in his Twitter

Last week, 38 North, a North Korea monitoring project affiliated with Washington's Stimson Center think-tank, said satellite imagery showed the North had been upgrading its Yongbyon nuclear complex. "North Korea has great potential for the future!"

Together these reports paint a very different picture than Trump's post-summit tweet stating that North Korea was "no longer a threat" and his comment to reporters that he had "solved" the North Korea nuclear problem.

"It has not. Physically, we would be able to dismantle the overwhelming bulk of their programs within a year", Bolton said.

The meeting comes amid growing scrutiny of Pyongyang's commitment to denuclearization and as joint efforts to repatriate the remains of USA troops from North Korea are taking longer than many anticipated.

Pompeo's visit will take place as part of a week-long trip to Asia and Europe, said the State Department.

Mark Wahlberg is abs-olutely thrilled LeBron James signed with the Lakers
I knew he was coming to LA! "We're going to play so fast, he'll throw (James) touchdown passes and he'll be scoring all day". That means, for now at least, James' four-year, $145M signing is likely the only seismic move on the horizon for the Lakers.

Nauert also said Pompeo, who will head to the DPRK on Thursday for talks, has "at least a day and a half of meetings planned, depending on how the schedule goes" in the Asian nation.

"We know exactly what the risks are - them using negotiations to drag out the length of time they have to continue their nuclear, chemical, biological weapons programmes and ballistic missiles", he said.

"There will be specific asks and there will be a specific timeline when we do present the North Koreans with our concept of what implementation of the summit agreement looks like", the official said. A lot of work is left to be done certainly.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is working to firm up those commitments in the wake of the summit, with the Financial Times reporting that he plans to soon visit Pyongyang.

The State Department said Pompeo would leave North Korea on Saturday for Tokyo and on Sunday hold talks on the crisis and regional issues with both Japanese and South Korean officials.

Trump says North Korea talks 'going well,' lashes critics
After the meeting, Trump tweeted that there was no longer a nuclear threat from the country. On Saturday, he visited a reed farm in Sindo county, also on the Sino-North Korea border.

In late May, the envoy led a meeting between US officials and North Korean officials, also in the demilitarized zone, ahead of the Singapore summit.

The State Department said the US ambassador to the Philippines, Sung Kim, who led policy negotiations with North Korea before the summit, traveled to the demilitarized zone between the two Koreas on Sunday to resume talks on next steps on implementing the joint declaration Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un signed in Singapore.

"If they have the strategic decision already made to do that and they're cooperative, we can move very quickly. There will be no surprises in terms of what we are asking them to do". But the Trump administration remains cautious; it renewed North Korean sanctions last month even after Trump's praise for his agreement with Kim in Singapore. "One can argue that the North Koreans are doing all of this to get maximum concessions out of the United States if and when they decide to give up their nuclear program".

But Nauert dismissed that, too, referring questions to the Department of Defense: "The Pentagon has a robust department that deals specifically with these issues each and every day in hard parts of the world".
