They're both from New York City - but Democratic congressional nominee Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez questioned whether President Trump is ready to "deal with a girl from the Bronx".

Democrat Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of NY even became the first person in the Senate to call for the abolishment of ICE, just after Ocasio-Cortez's victory. That last one was so good it elicited a response from Ocasio-Cortez.

"It's very easy to be generous with other people's money, but be careful trying to use rightful means of theft to try to redistribute what you feel is best for society", Kirk said.

"Pretty much!" she tweeted.

Lopez Obrador has repeatedly promised just that, though some businesspeople have been skeptical. However, all of his opponents also openly opposed Trump.
