Supreme Court justice's retirement is a gift for Donald Trump

Supreme Court justice's retirement is a gift for Donald Trump

To some, that might seem like a reasonable inclusion of an over-used descriptor. The mostly unsurprising news came hours after SCOTUS struck down a pro-union IL law and a day after it upheld Trump's Muslim travel ban.

"OMG!", Trump Jr.'s tweet read. "I give you Anthony Kennedy's retirement from #SCOTUS". So maybe Trump Jr. has just been listening to a lot of Travis Scott lately, or maybe he's learning the language of the youths from Barron.

Kawhi Leonard trade talks CRUCIAL to LeBron James free agency decision
All of that has turned up the heat on the Lakers to trade for Leonard, who has made it no secret he wants out of San Antonio . The hope in that LeBron James and Paul George - the two biggest free agents on the market - will fill them.

"We will begin our search for a new justice of the United States Supreme Court". Crawford points out that he refused to overturn Roe v. Wade, and he also constrained the bolder conservatives on the court, pulling them back a little bit.

But a dissenting liberal justice said the court was making a historic mistake by refusing to recognize the ban discriminates against Muslims. "It is gone because Donald Trump won the election and because he's going to have the chance to appoint two Supreme Court justices". Kennedy's departure will allow Trump to shift the court decisively to the right, possibly for a generation, and opens the door to a rollback of access to abortion, gay rights and protections for minorities. The conservative justices on the court give loads of leeway to a president (in this case, a insane one who has been compromised by a foreign power) to dictate immigration policy. "We have been present in this country before and after its revolution", the statement issued in Washington said. "Anthony Kennedy kept the court up to date with where society was moving".

Supreme Court ruling gives hope to local retailers
Lawmakers in the state, which has no income tax, passed a law created to directly challenge the Supreme Court's 1992 decision. For small businesses, local advertising may now more effectively draw consumers away from the e-Commerce giants.

His retirement sets the stage for a major showdown in the Republican-led US Senate over the confirmation of Mr Trump's eventual pick for the lifetime appointment to replace Justice Kennedy, all coming before November elections in which Democrats are seeking to seize control of Congress from Mr Trump's Republicans. Three of them who are especially vulnerable - Joe Donnelly, Heidi Heitkamp, and Joe Manchin - voted for Neil Gorsuch's confirmation.

Laura Ingalls Wilder's Name Cut From Award For Her 'Stereotypical' Depictions
Wilder was the first to win the award in 1954, when she was in her late 80s and nearing the end of her life. They found her descriptions of Native Americans, and sometimes her depictions of African-Americans, racist.
