The north Londoners are also set to land Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen for £22m and are close to agreeing a £26m move for Sampdoria star Lucas Torreira as well.

The Gunners recently signed Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free and will officially announce their £16m capture of Sokratis Papasthopoulos on July 1.
