Millie Bobby Brown quits Twitter after being inundated with homophobic memes

In actuality, away from satirical memes, Millie Bobby Brown is a passionate supporter of LGBTQ rights.

Actress Millie Bobby Brown attends The 2018 PaleyFest screening of Netflix's "Stranger Things" at the Dolby Theater on March 25, 2018, in Hollywood.

After becoming the subject of homophobic memes, Millie Bobby Brown has called it quits with Twitter and her account no longer exists on the social network.

Search-Microsoft is planning to revamp the search experience across Office apps providing access to commands, content, and people. The updates will be exclusive to and Office 365 versions of Microsoft's popular productivity software.

Internet users have also lifted Brown's social media posts, such as Snapchat photos, and photoshopped them with homophobic and racist captions. Numerous posts included the hashtag #TakeDownMillieBobbyBrown.

While several twitter users have pointed out how truly damaging these "memes" are, after one user voiced their opinion, they were subsequently shut down and told that is it all a joke.

The meme reportedly originates from a tweet past year which gave a fictional account of Brown forcibly removing a fan's hijab at an airport. Showcasing her support for the LGBTQ community via social media was common. While the account is active, nothing has been posted to it since December 12, 2017.

It's really quite pathetic that people have nothing better to do other than targeting people like Brown and Tran with the end goal being what?

The memes depicted the actress saying homophobic quotes and have been removed by Twitter in the wake of the incident. Sadly, she's not the first young actress to make this decision recently either.

"I saw Millie Bobby Brown in the airport and asked for a pic and she said 'only if you remove the hijab, '" the now-suspended user wrote at the time.
