New Delhi wants North Korea-Pakistan nuclear axis addressed

In a sign that Kim remains paranoid about his personal safety, a North Korean official inspected the pen that was placed in front of Kim to sign the joint declaration with Trump, rubbing it with a gloved hand.

-North Korea summit has reduced the risk of "potential Nuclear catastrophe" and thanked North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for meeting with him.

Shortly after Trump's presser, a spokesperson from South Korea's Blue House (its executive branch of government) said that "the meaning and intention" of the United States president's remarks regarding the war games "require more clear understanding".

American lawmakers differed sharply in their reaction to the first-ever face-to-face meeting between a sitting US president and a North Korean leader.

On Wednesday the foreign affairs minister, Julie Bishop, said the suspension of war games - a surprise concession offered by the USA president on Tuesday night that caught South Korea by surprise - was not in the official declaration but "the president spoke about it in answer to a question at a press conference".

He refused to go into details. For one thing, North Korea's commitment on "complete denuclearization" is simply a repeat of its previous promise from the inter-Korean summit in April, and it lacks a clear definition.

Atletico Madrid Antoine Griezmann refuses to confirm future plans
He says it is similar to when Manchester United had agreed to sign the 27-year-old last summer, before he then chose to remain at Atletico.

Pyongyang has demanded the end of what it calls a "hostile policy" towards it, but in public has only pledged to pursue the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula - a euphemism open to wide differences of interpretation.

The meeting of the United States president and the North Korean leader was all about the hairdos, if activity on Twitter was to be believed.

Highlighting the continued differences in the two countries' views of the denuclearization process, the report also said that they had agreed on a "step-by-step" approach.

Shaheen and other lawmakers added there should be no cancellation of US military exercises in Asia, as Trump suggested, without first consulting South Korea and other allies in the region. America's friends, Japan and South Korea, didn't do so well.

Trump said he had formed a "special bond" with Kim, whom he described as "very talented".

Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen said, "We can't lose sight of the fact that there are awful, horrific humanitarian issues in North Korea, human rights abuses".

Minor explosion at Hawaii volcano spews more ash into the air
No one has died in the Hawaii eruption but some 600 homes have been swallowed by lava flows from Kilauea since May 3. Aerial images in the video below show rivers of lava flowing the Kilauea Volcano on Monday.

As they ended their summit Mr Trump praised Mr Kim as a "very worthy, very smart negotiator".

If confirmed, the reported deal could be seen as a concession by Trump since USA officials - and the president himself - had called for the North to take swift and clear disarmament measures before receiving any rewards. His focus on diplomacy, including earlier meetings with the leaders of China and South Korea, is a sharp contrast with his rapid-fire testing of long-range missiles and the fiery exchanges of threats and insults a year ago that created real fears of a war on the Korean Peninsula.

The news comes after the pair made history with a meeting in Singapore to try and bring an end to their differences. "And they're not ready if they can not exercises".

The video was produced by the US Government to help persuade Mr Kim to make a deal, a White House official said.

Many agreements have been made in the past with North Korea that have later fallen apart, and ahead of the meeting, critics expressed concerns that it risked being more about headlines than substantive progress.
