Hearn calls Wilder's bluff on Joshua title fight

Hearn calls Wilder's bluff on Joshua title fight

"BREAKING NEWS for all you Anthony Joshua fans", Wilder wrote on Twitter.

Yet it appears a breakthrough has come in negotiations between IBF, WBA and WBO champion Joshua and WBC title holder Wilder.

There is a lot of sorting out to do for this fight, but great news that in principle he seems to be on board for the idea of coming to the United Kingdom for the fight.

"We have agreed to the terms that Eddie has put out to us for a fight in the UK Deontay has accepted his terms to fight in the UK", Finkel said.

The location had proved to be one of the main issues in negotiating the fight over the past two months; Wilder's team offered Joshua a reported $50m (£37m) to fight in the USA but the 28-year-old Briton has remained adamant he wants to fight in the UK.

As the last in the running for E3 2018 , Nintendo have the job of closing the show but still creating as much hype as the others. Nintendo says that the show will focus on Switch releases for 2018, but we might see some 2019 titles and 3DS games as well.

"If for any reason Anthony changes his mind and wants to fight in the U.S, the $50m offer we have made to him is still there".

A fight with Wilder has always been Plan A for Joshua, but after lengthy talks with the WBC champion struggled to produce a definitive scenario, a deal had largely been concluded with Povetkin for September in London.

The 28-year-old has sold out stadiums for his last three fights, and is the biggest pay-per-view star in Britain.

"We're going to be dealing with it and we're going to be making sure he gets the relevant paperwork". "Not as good as we feel it should be, but we want the fight, and we're willing to take what they offered", Finkel said.

"Our original plan and hope was to do it in the middle of September, but obviously this "Canelo" fight on September 15 makes it a little more hard with US TV and the fact that we've lost four weeks in waiting for an answer from Deontay Wilder, makes the fight happening in 11 or 12 weeks of this magnitude unlikely". A mandatory rematch would likely take place in the U.S. "It's up to them to choose".
