Avengers: Infinity War Box Office Hits $2 Billion Worldwide

As Deadline indicated on Sunday, Disney/Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War was within a stone's throw away from crossing the $2 billion worldwide box office mark, and it has officially done so today, joining only three other titles to make that claim: Avatar ($2.78 billion), Titanic ($2.18 billion) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.06B). Moreover, it was hardly a laborious line-cross for Infinity War, which opened back on April 27, and is still riding momentum.

Avengers: Infinity War was released nearly two months ago, but it continues to rake in billions at the box office. Stateside, it's still going strong, taking 5th place in weekend 7 with $7.2M for a running total of $656.1M, the fifth highest grossing title of all time through June 11.

The video was produced by the US Government to help persuade Mr Kim to make a deal, a White House official said. As they ended their summit Mr Trump praised Mr Kim as a "very worthy, very smart negotiator".

Disney might be a little unhappy with the lackluster Solo box office, but Infinity War's whopping success should keep them happy. The same report predicts a sure-shot $2 billion gross for Avengers 4. The film now stands alongside Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Titanic and Avatar as the only movies to hit this box office milestone! James Cameron is still, after all these years, king of the world. Domestically the film notched $6.8 million this last weekend, and internationally the film pulled in another $10.9 million. In China, the film's US$369.7 million gross to date ranks third all-time.

Circling back to Infinity War, though, and it's fair to say that Hawkeye was sorely missed from the sequel's marketing campaign, resulting in a series of rather brilliant mock-up posters, as impassioned fans took it upon themselves to include Jeremy Renner's sharpshooter in the proceedings.
