Alice Johnson Says Her Release Is 'Very Humbling'

Alice Marie Johnson, the great-grandmother has a message to Donald Trump after he commuted her sentence; with the help of Kim Kardashian who vouched for her release. Well thankfully Kim got through to Trump because it was revealed the other day that Alice was commuted & freed.

Holley says in a statement that she, "just got off the most wonderful, emotional and awesome phone call with Alice, Kim and Alice's lawyers".

At 63-years-old, Johnson accepted the fact she may have to spend the rest of her life in prison, but that all changed Wednesday.

"I think that he really spent the time to listen to our case that we were making for Alice", Kardashian West told Mic in an interview of her conversation with the president.

However, even after she fell behind by a break in the second set, it did not appear that any doubt had crept into her mind. Open last September for her first major title. "In the second set, I started to relax and came back".

Now she is back with her family.

Kardashian said Trump called her cell phone to say that her efforts had been successful. "I'd like to tell President Trump that I am so grateful for everything you've done for me and my family". She was convicted of drug conspiracy and money laundering charges in 1996.

Cameras captured Johnson's reunion with family members Wednesday night after a van transported her outside the prison.

Speaking today before he left the G7 summit in Canada and head to Singapore, Trump described the summit as a "mission of peace". He added that the North Korean government was "working very well" with the USA and said: "so far so good".

Ms Kardashian West celebrated the good news in a series of tweets, writing "BEST NEWS EVER!" alongside three praying hand emojis.

Ms Johnson's commutation of sentence is the sixth act of clemency granted by Mr Trump since he took office and the second one issued after a celebrity had appealed to him.

The White House noted it "will always be very tough on crime", but "believes that those who have paid their debt to society and worked hard to better themselves while in prison deserve a second chance".

Kardashian said after hearing about Johnson's story she made a decision to act.
